DR. L. RICHARD MORGAN: The human female figure is just a gorgeous work of art. In spite of that, the breast is an area that people have tried to change and augment for years. In the 1920s, they were injecting paraffin with disastrous results. It wasn't really until the 1940s with the advent of new materials that they could put something into the breast to enhance it safely. So then they started to do that and it wasn't very long that it showed how interested people were in that because it became one of the most popular operations in the United States. When we were one of the main countries that were doing it, people were flocking from other countries. Now it's offered in several countries, but it's a very popular operation, showing that people want that.
Today we have really safe materials and we have a range of materials and sizes for the most discriminating people. It seems to be a very safe procedure and it's the thing that people want. Many times the figure was not made to satisfy what a woman has, so she wants to have something different and today she can have a choice.
