DR. L. RICHARD MORGAN: It used to be that when the skin stretched out as a result of child bearing, women thought that they just had to live with that. But it simply isn't true and there can be a great boost in your sense of well-being if you can get that excess tissue taken care of.

It turns out today people live a lot outside, especially in our part of the country and they like to wear bathing suits and that sort of thing and sometimes it's just really hard to find something that would cover some of the tissues that have been stretched out. But that's easily taken care of with a tummy tuck and it works out very nicely. The scars can be hidden and it's a very nice procedure to have.

In most cases, there's a procedure where you can just take care of the lower portion and that's called a mini-tuck and you don't have to really do anything with the navel. But if some of the stretched-out skin is above the navel, then we have to go around the navel. But we make an incision so that it can be hidden by the bikini that [phonetic] we use that as an excess to undermine the skin and then bring it down and take out the excess.

If, again, there's some excess skin above the navel, then we do go around it and then take care of that as well. But it's exciting to see the navel hold that skin tautly like it did when they were 17 or 18 and it's really exciting for a women to see that and see it back after having children and that sort of thing.
