DR. L. RICHARD MORGAN: I think the process of becoming a plastic surgeon is one where you get the opportunity to serve. If you're around people that have been great in their field, then you pick up their philosophy. All the people I admire have gotten the opportunity to serve. And then you keep that opportunity by keep working at what you're doing, trying to better yourself, never getting to a plateau. And all the people that I admire, all the people that I associate, all of my teachers were that way. They were striving to do better service to people. And that means going to meetings and constantly trying to better yourself because we have lots of techniques and we have to understand the people where we're working so that we can do the best job with the individual patient. And we try to do that in all we do.
