Skin Care Products and Services

We offer a variety of skin care products and services at our Chico, California cosmetic surgery practice for patients who want to rejuvenate their face.

DR. L. RICHARD MORGAN: We do the best we can to perform the best surgery we can, but we find that we need everything that is in the armamentarium and one of those things includes the skin care products. Right now, we feature Vivite and it's got four times the strength of the glycolic acid. Glycolic acid by itself can do a peel at the 40 percent level. We're using about a 20 percent in some of these products and it does a marvelous job of taking off some of the top layer of skin which in turn turns over the skins at the base. The fastest turnover of cells is in a baby. But if we can make those cells turn over, we can get a youthful look on the skin that people didn't think possible. So we use that after breast surgery, we use it after our suction-assisted lipoplasty and after our facial rejuvenation, after face lifts, that sort of thing. And we get a tightening of the skin that wouldn't have been possible without that. We've been trained by the people who make the stuff and we're responsible for knowing how much is in it and what people can do with it. And so we can go right to the edge and make some really important results happen. Because resurfacing with the laser is the gold standard, we offer some other things like the glycolic acid peel and some of those things. But most of the time, we feel that we can achieve that with our high concentration of glycolic acid in the Vivite plus the laser. Then we've introduced the Frexel , which takes care of the neck and so we don't find the need for some of those other procedures that we've found wanting in certain areas.
